Dr. Swingle is honored to have the finest staff there is.  Our staff is dedicated, thorough, sincere, conscientious and friendly.  We have long term employees who cross-train to better serve our patients and give you the best care possible with an exceptionally clean and highly organized facility.  Most of our staff are X-ray, CPR and Automatic External Difibrilator (AED) certified.

You will meet the following members of our team when you visit our office:

Rachel - Registered Dental Assistant

Rachel has been working with Dr. Swingle since 2004.  She attended the University of  Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and is a Registered Dental Assistant, passing three state licensing exams to attain this qualification.  Additionally, she is CPR-trained and AED-certified. 

Our patients appreciate Rachel's warm and accomodating personality as well as her vast knowledge regarding our patient's dental health needs.  She is familiar with all of Dr. Swingle's procedures and she works seemlessly with Dr. Swingle in giving our patients the great care that they deserve.  Rachel resides in Union with her dog Bosco and enjoys spending time with her closest friends. Her passions include art, home renovation, animals and spending time advancing her education.

Diane - Office Manager

Diane works closely with Dr. Swingle on many projects to help the office reach its full potential.  She is often found at the front desk greeting and scheduling patients.  She joined Dr. Swingle's practice a year after its inception and enjoys getting to know our patients and their families on a personal level. 

Diane is one of the founders of her Dental Office Managers Study Group, which meets bimonthly.  A Westfield native, Diane is married and has two children and two grandchildren.  Her interests outside of work include spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs.  She also enjoys Yoga, gardening and visiting the Jersey Shore.

Joy - Hygiene Assistant

Joy is a New Jersey licensed dental radiographer and began working with Dr. Swingle in 2005.  She has a liberal arts degree and regularly attends continuing education classes at the College of Medicine and Dentistry.  Joy has lived in Cranford since 1985 and is married with two children and two grandchildren.  She is involved in local church activities and enjoys spending time with her two dogs and two grandchildren.

Theresa - Administrator

Dr. Swingle's daughter, Theresa, worked part-time in our office for seven years before joining us full-time in 2008. Theresa earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kean University.  You will find Theresa at the front desk and also lending a hand in the treatment and laboratory areas.  Theresa has excellent computer skills and helped implement our electronic office by instituting a plan to convert paper charts to fully electronic charts for all patients. 

Donna - Registered Dental Hygienist

Donna has been with Dr. Swingle's practice since its inception.  Known for her thorough and gentle touch, many of our patients say they have never had their teeth cleaned so well.  Donna recived an Associate of Science degree from Union County College.  CPR and AED certified, Donna is our OSHA leader at our frequent infection control meetings and seminars.  Donna continues to exceed her annual dental hygiene contiuning education requirements.  She enjoys retreating to the Poconos most weekends with her husband and their German Shorthaired Pointer "Ouija".
