Age One Dental Visit

The American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommend that all children should have their first dental visit by the age of 1 year or within 6 months after the first tooth erupts.

Baby (primary) teeth are very important. Strong healthy teeth help the child chew and speak. They also hold space in the jaws for permanent teeth.

The first dental visit helps educate parents about health care basics, proper nutrition, developmental milestones and caries prevention.

All of us at Great Smiles General Dentistry look forward to meeting and greeting our newest patients.
